What Happened to Desire a Difference?

What happened to Desire a Difference?

Desire a Difference is still up, but the focus has shifted to helping beginners (newbies) with WordPress.

When I started the business, my scope was rather broad, so I focused my efforts where they were needed…teaching others how to utilize WordPress.

The change was a little sad, but I can’t let ego stand in the way of helping others and the spirit of “service” is still the same.

Robert,
Do you still build websites as well as manage them.My above website is currently utilizing
Word Press (someone else designed it, slow, on a parttime basis).Your tutorials are impressive but too much for a beginner like me to get it done quickly. Please let me know
if this is something you would be interested in doing, and if so, how much would it cost.
Please respond via email and indicate if I should email you my phone # to discuss in greater detail. Thankyou so much for your tutorials and for any help you can provide.
Vance

Robert, I am a fan. I have watched your beginners videos several times. I would recommend anyone setting up a word press site to watch the videos and set up their page while watching the videos. I noticed on the forum for my theme many people ask questions that have nothing to do with the theme but are basic word press questions. http://mac-host.com/support/viewforum.php?f=6&sid=4dbc5f1a42cabcb60d2f4fa999e7ad41 These same questions get asked over and over even when they were already answered. They need a site like this to help. With your permission I would like to link this page if that is your intention.

Robert, In my last post my website was wrong. It is http://www.krickettsbooks.com As I had no prior experience in web sites I am proud of my site and it was only with your videos that I was able to breeze through the set up.

Hi Robert,
Your tutorials on youtube were a great help! Thank you. I thought you had mentioned they go up to #14. I can only find 1 – 9. Are the rest also on youtube? And any tutorials on Google Ad Sense? Thank you.

I’m sorry, they only go to 9. To your second question, I will be doing tutorials on Google Adsense down the road.

On the right side of every page on this site, there is a spot to put your email (a red & white area).

Errol here i came across your youtubes videos on wordpress quite by accident and i’m a total newbie to the world of online business. Infact i have never earn anything from online before or how to go about starting to make monies online. So when I came across your tutorials my thoughts were you’re a top man and that I would be-able to learn form you but after the third video there started hanging. Now I’m at a bit of a lost on whether you were still creating those training videos again and if you are, where could I go to find them and try to see if i could make money with an online business.

Could you please e-mail me, and point me into the right direction of where you’re doing your tutorials so I could also get the opportunity learn how to setups an online business using wordpress.

Again thank you for your great help in teaching others.

Hi Robert,
I am an uber-newbie to building a website. I signed up with godaddy and then decided to build the site in WP. Godaddy gives great phone support when building a site within godaddy, but doesn’t give phone support with WP.
You mention Bluehost in video #2. Does Bluehost provide phone support?
Is it tricky switching from one host to another?
I plan to build 3 small sites for 3 different movies and then have them linked to the mother site, EuroPacific Films. Which host would be most cost effective?
Also, I don’t see the Bluehost link on your website. Please advise . .
Thank you!

Bluehost does give phone support & they are GREAT! Switch-over is pretty seamless and the site will be just as fast, if not faster.

First of all….THANK YOU!!…I built my site from just your tutorials. You’re really great at this!
Ok…I don’t know how to add that small picture/logo on the tab with my tagline. I can’t seem to figure it out. What do I need to do?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Robert, thank you so much for sharing your gift of teaching. I spent all day with you yesterday, I mean, with your VIdeos 1-9. LOL!!! Total newbie to websites/blog language and your videos are THE BEST! The manner is which you teach is very delightful and real. Your voice is wonderful to listen to as well. I usually don’t leave comments, (although I have good intentions of doing so), but I couldn’t watch all your videos and not say thank-you. So thank you very much.
